I Almost Beacame A House Owner in Lagos

 

On this very day, I was some within Ikoyi relaxing in my car when my phone rang. I checked and it was a trip request from uber. I picked as usual. 


I tried calling Rider but I realised his was International Number so I didn't bother to call since it won't connect. 

As I was navigating back to my uber App Home screen, a in-pp message popped in saying "Hello! Please, I am already outside waiting for you " I then replied "I'm on my way sir ". Started my car and drove to pick up. 

My rider was a Whiteman (Whitemen doesn't waste drivers time. Once they makes request for ride, they are ready ) truly ready and waiting for me. We exchanged pleasantry and he came. I look into his eyes but he looked worried. Well, thought to myself... it's non of my business. Make i mind wetin carry me come here. 

I started trip....I screamed "yey". My Rider asked if all is well and I replied YES. His destination was AJEGUNLE.

AJEGUNLE is a popular dirty and Ghetto/Trenches part of Lagos. The roads are always traffic logged. No E-hailing drivers likes taking trip to Apapa or Ajegunle because if you do, you might end up having bad day or spending your whole day there in the traffic. 


It makes sense now. this is why this man seemed unhappy I thought to myself. I concluded within me that I would take him. 

Journey started and after almost 5hrs plus, we got to destination. 


It happened that the White Guy gave a trusted friend money to buy a Landed property in Lagos but the friend in question played a fast one on him. He bought him a house inside Ajegunle. LMAO. 


My was devasted seeing the building and the environment. He lost interest immediately in it. He tried reaching his friendwho bought him the property to no avail. Although, my Rider  had all valid documents of the building. 

To cut long story short, he asked me if I was interested in the building, I replied YES. He wanted to give me the House but it was unfortunate, I lost that opportunity to one Landlord Alhaji living in the vicinity.
